Auckland, 1 February 2018 – AA Insurance celebrated its tenth consecutive year as a finalist in the IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards, this year for the Best Large Workplace category (400-750 employees).
While Overland Footwear won the category this year, over the past 10 years AA Insurance has won Best Large Workplace twice and was named Overall Winner once. The company is also part of the 10-year Best Workplace League.
“I’m immensely proud of those specific achievements, particularly being named best overall workplace in 2011,” says Chris Curtin, Chief Executive, AA Insurance. “The list of winners this year is broad, in the sense that there is a great mix of companies and industries. And they all share a passion for people and culture as we do.
“For me the most important achievement is consistency over the last decade, and this is crucial given our focus on people and culture as a competitive advantage.”
The awards are based on employee ratings in a confidential online survey. This year over 35,000 employees from 173 New Zealand organisations in the private and public sectors participated in the survey, including 27 newcomers. AA Insurance’s 650 plus employees graded their workplace across key categories including leadership, culture, recognition and engagement.
The Overall Winner will be selected from among the Best Workplaces category winners and announced on 28 February.
