In light of the Orange Civil Defence warning for Westland and Buller for heavy rain on Friday and into the weekend, AA Insurance is advising customers in the area to prepare their properties in case of flooding. Tom Bartlett Head of Home Claims said “We’re encouraging customers to check drains are clear on your properties and check in with neighbours and friends who live in isolated areas.
“The weather is unpredictable and we don’t know what the weekend holds, but AA Insurance is always here to help if you need us,” Mr Bartlett said.
